Sherilyn Salisbury Elliott passed away on Jan. 3, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Elliott; her sister, Kathy Salisbury Laurence; and her parents, Sarah and Wes Salisbury. She is mourned by her sons, Joshua and Wesley Gray and wife Malinda; her sister, Wendy Salisbury; her grandsons Christian, Isaac, and Nathan; her nephews Ian and Jacob, as well as many wonderful friends.

Sherry lived a rich and full life. She was an amazing artist and loved to explore different mediums. Among her favorites were weaving, pottery, and painting. She was also a talented musician who played harp, bagpipes, bass guitar, and dulcimer. Cooking was another hobby at which she excelled.

Family was important to Sherry. “Family” didn’t just mean relatives. She expanded the term to include dear friends as well. Church was another huge part of her life, and she will be missed by her Connection Church family in Laurel.

A graveside service was held at Epworth Cemetery on Feb. 4.
