For the past 34 years Downtown Seaford Association, Inc. has sponsored the annual Christmas parade, along with the city of Seaford. Due to the coronavirus, organizers are planning a different type of event. Instead of entries parading through the downtown, the spectators will be in cars driving through the normal parade route to view the entries, exiting at Market Street, Front Street, or Middleford Road. Entries will be stationary, beginning by the city office (High Street) back to Pennsylvania Avenue and Nylon Boulevard.
The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services has been contacted and informed of the group’s plans. Plans will be finalized or changed based on the department’s safety concerns. More information will be shared in the Star.
