Kenneth R. Steele, born July 18, 1940 in Rehoboth Beach to the late George W. and Alice Baynum Steele, passed away at his home in Seaford on May 19, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Darlene; three sons: Mike (Tammy), Tony (Tammy), and Sean (Chrissy); 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, George K. Steele (Sandy); sister-in-law, Alma Fleetwood; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Doris Barker.
Kenny graduated from Rehoboth High School in 1959. He worked for the DuPont Company in Seaford for 33 years prior to retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Nanticoke Sportsmen’s Club, Cape Henlopen Elks, and the Improved Order of Red Men. Kenny was passionate about many things including stock car races and turkey shoots, but his most cherished moments involved spending time with his family.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
