Kenneth Lee O’Neal of Seaford passed away on Nov. 6 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Laurel, he is the son of the late Linwood O’Neal and Myrtle Whaley O’Neal.

Kenneth was a 1963 graduate of Laurel High School. He served four years in the Navy from 1967-1971 and spent one year in Monterey, California, and three years aboard the AD-15 USS Prairie Destroyer Tender. His home port was San Diego.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn Sue O’Neal of Seaford; his daughter, Jenn O’Neal; his son, Andrew O’Neal; his daughter Sarah Yatskevich and her husband Aaron; two grandchildren, Jacob and Asher; sister, Delores O. Springer and her husband Ed; niece, Kay Grabowski and her husband Rick; brother-in-law Jack Cook and his wife Cheryl; and several nieces and nephews also survive him.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12 at Laurel Wesleyan Church. Pastor Scott Conn will officiate. Interment will be private in Smith Mills Church Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and masks will be required. Contributions may be made to Trap Pond Partners, 33587 Bald Cypress Lane, Laurel, Delaware 19956.
