Kathy L. Tharp of Seaford passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021. She was born on July 11, 1961 in Seaford to the late Floyd and Erma Moore, Sr. Kathy was also preceded in death by her fiancé, Rick Gilbert; sister, Alice Chaffinch; and brother, Floyd Moore, Jr. She is survived by her son, Jason Tharp (Helena); grandchildren, Jason Tharp, Jr. and Jordyn Tharp; siblings, Howard Wilkerson (Verna), Gary Moore, Sr. and Pati Griffith (Doug), along with several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was a lifetime member of the Blades Volunteer Fire Co., past president of the Blades Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was one who enjoyed spending time in the summer with her friends, family and all her bingo partners.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford where friends may call from 12 to 1. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel, DE.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Blades Volunteer Fire Company, 201 E. 5th St., Blades, DE 19973.
