Kathryn B. Lankford Shockley of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 at her nephew’s home in Georgia. She attended all Seaford schools and graduated from Seaford High School in 1965. She then worked in Dover for State Auditor Charles Moore. In leaving office in 1972, she went and worked for NCR, after which she worked at the DuPont plant before going to work for Dr. James Palmer. Upon retiring in 2006, she went to work for Nanticoke Cardiology until 2013, at which time she married Bob Shockley and moved to Longs, South Carolina where she lived until January of 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Turner and Frances Blocker and her husband Van Lankford. She is survived by her husband, Bob Shockley; brother, Jay Blocker (Jackie); nephew, Matthew Blocker; great niece, Trinity Jean Blocker; and a special friend, Pam Good.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford with Pastor Beth Elzey officiating.
