Jay Koch, formerly of Laurel, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. He was born on Aug. 7, 1970 in Baltimore, Md.

Jay was a chef for 30 years, best known for his seafood and B.B.Q. dishes. After retiring from the service industry, Jay painted abstract art and was learning bladesmithing.

Jay was a friend to many, but lifelong friends, Ron Allen and Lou Spahn were always constant.

He enjoyed reading and watching DVD movies, immersing himself in the Marvel Universe. He made life an adventure and will be greatly missed. We love you 100 Most Jay!

Jay was preceded in death by his father, Harry Koch of Seaford; his brothers: Michael A. Koch and his wife Donna of Dover and Matthew E. Koch and his wife Emily of Alexandria, VA. He is survived by his partner, Karen Tyndall of Bear; his sons: Matthew A. Koch of Lynchburg, VA and Tanner J. Koch of Lynchburg, VA; his mother, Fran (Switzer) Koch of Seaford; his nieces: Jorja Koch and Bella Koch and his nephews: Ben Koch and Mikey Koch.
