Orders are now being taken by Seaford’s Spade and Trowel Garden Club for the 2022 Holiday Evergreens Sale and for 2022 crop premium shelled pecan halves fresh from Georgia (at $13 per pound bag).

The annual sale of pecans and of decorations hand-crafted from fresh greens by members of the garden club help fund the club’s community projects such as the hanging baskets on two bridges downtown and scholarships for deserving students. All products are made to order.

Prices in the evergreens sale have not increased since last year. Centerpieces come in single ($15) or double ($25) sizes, depending on the number of candles. They make great gifts!

Swags ($25) feature evergreens fastened to a board that can be hung on a door, wall or mailbox. Cemetery mounds are $40.

Wreaths can be made from your choice of mixed greens ($35); boxwood ($40) or magnolia ($50).

Pick up will be Dec. 5, from 3 to 6 p.m. and Dec. 6 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Ross Station, 585 N. Market Street, Ext., in Seaford (across from the library). You will be called when your order is ready. Prompt pickup is appreciated.

To order evergreens, ask any club member or contact Sandy Blackwell, 302-542-3174. For pecans, call Nancy McAdams at 973-459-1300. Order forms also are posted on the club’s website at seafordspadeandtrowelgardenclub.org.
