On Sunday, Feb. 23, the Laurel Historical Society is sponsoring a bus trip to celebrate a Delmarva hero: Harriet Tubman.
A motor coach will leave the parking lot behind Laurel Elementary School at 10:30 a.m. and will travel to Cambridge, Md. The tour will include five sites in Cambridge, including the Harriett Tubman Underground Railroad National Historic Park. At 4 p.m., Sunday dinner — an Eastern Shore buffet — will be served at Old Salty’s, Fishing Creek.
Cost is $50 per person, $52 if the tickets are bought online. Online tickets, as well as a mail-in order form, can be obtained at laureldehistoricalsociety.org.
