Corey Alexander Shupp of Seaford passed away tragically on Sunday, March 29, 2026, after a motor vehicle accident.
Born May 10, 1997, in Seaford, he was the son of Kenneth and Amy (Burnside) Shupp of Seaford and the fiancée of Savannah Molina, also of Seaford.
Corey was very tender-hearted, and he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour at the age of four. From a young age, he loved worshipping God and reading his Bible; one of his favorite passages was Psalm 23.
Corey was a “lifer” at The Pilgrim Academy in Egg Harbor City, NJ, and he graduated in 2016; he was a member of Emmanuel Church in Egg Harbor City, NJ, where he was baptized. He excelled in baseball and soccer in high school, and he enjoyed playing the trombone in his school orchestra and singing in the school and church choirs.
Corey was accepted into Williamson College of the Trades in Media, Pa., and he studied in the horticulture program and played soccer, baseball, and football all in one year while he was there. He had been employed by Sussex Tree for years as a tree climber and currently worked as a crane operator at Albatross Crane.
Corey enjoyed riding his motorcycle as well as dirt bikes with his brother, Jeremy. He played softball at Crossroad Church and ARAC with his sister, Emily, brother, and dad. He enjoyed shooting guns, playing volleyball, and golfing with his family. He also played softball in the Park Place League of Seaford. He especially enjoyed taking his children on various adventures. He lived by the motto, “No Fear!”
Survivors,, in addition to his fiancée and parents, include three children— Drew, Kinsley, and Dalton; brother, Jeremy Shupp; sister, Emily Shupp; grandparents, Mike and Dianne Burnside and Peggy Shupp; his best friend, Thomas Whitelock; and many other extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved Poppop, Corky Shupp, as well as by many other extended family members.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, at 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
