The Bridgeville Town Commission meeting for November was held on November 10 at the Bridgeville Public Library. All members of the commission were in attendance, and the meeting was open to the public both in person and on Zoom. Topics discussed during the meeting included Woodbridge Little League building plans and a property tax exemption request for the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company.

The meeting began with the approval of both the agenda and the minutes and items of correspondence for the commissioners, which included an invitation for the Caroling on the Circle on Dec. 4. Afterwards, the town moved to financial reports and the town manager’s report, provided by Bethany DeBussy. During the month of October, the town issued 12 building permits totaling $14,513.27, with three building permits issued for new construction, and two certificates of occupancy issued for new homes.

Also mentioned in the report there was the announcement of Bridgeville’s next election, which will be open for two commission seats and will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The last election was in 2018. More information about the upcoming election will be announced in December.

Lastly, several upcoming events and their dates were mentioned, which included the annual tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 2 and the annual holiday parade on Dec. 13.

Following the reports, the meeting moved to new business, which opened up with discussion on the building plans of the Woodbridge Little League. The building plan submitted is for a “40’ x 24’ x 16’ fully enclosed pole building with a 40’ x 16’ x 16’ truss change, a 8’ x 40’ x 8’ OLT for $58,900.00.” A full look at the specifications for the building and a mock-up design of the structure is available on the town of Bridgeville website under the November meeting. After discussion on the plan and some past building projects, the commissioners voted unanimously to table the matter for the future after more discussion.

The next item discussed was a request for property tax exemption by the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company, which was passed unanimously, except for an abstain by commission president John Tomeski due to his work with the fire company.

Finally in new business was the grant in aid requests/donations, which saw $600 donated in total to the Woodbridge AYF from all commissioners.

After new business, the meeting moved into introduction of ordinances/resolutions, which saw a resolution to amend the FY26 financial budget, which was unanimously approved by the commission. The meeting then moved into executive session before adjourning. The next meeting will be held on Dec. 8.
