One name. Two businesses. One goal – better living made simple.
Based in Bridgeville, Delaware, Seely Homes LLC is now your first stop, a one-stop shop, for building a new home or buying and selling real estate on Delmarva. Founded by Adrian and Julleanna Seely in 2020 as a custom home builder, the company is now licensed to build homes in Maryland .
Even better news, last fall, the Seelys welcomed Darlene Hall as part of their team to form Seely & Associates Real Estate Team, partnering with the brokerage, Keller Williams Realty Delaware Beaches. Hall is a licensed Realtor in Delaware and Maryland; Julleanna is licensed in Delaware. The real estate team is prepared to do a market analysis on your existing home and sell for best market value, search for a new home or land and help determine whether building a new home is an option for you and works within your budget.
The next great adventure for the Seelys is opening a new sales office and design studio at a three acre property on Rt. 13 in Bridgeville, where a cabinet shop operated for many years.
“We are excited to have a showroom, plenty of parking, even yard space for community events,” Julleanna said. “We plan to have a grand opening late in the summer after we’ve done some renovations.”
The property has an existing home that they plan to renovate into a stunning Design Studio and Sales Office where clients can easily make selections for their new home or addition. There is also an existing office space and warehouse for the production team.
This western Sussex location is ideal to serve both custom home building clients and real estate clients in Delaware and Eastern Shore Maryland.
The Seelys have been leasing their current office at 9111 Antique Alley in Bridgeville for five years, but as business has grown, so have the number of employees, and it was time to expand.
Their team now includes Nathaniel Maynard, Cassie Davis, Jennifer Jester, Cole Neibert, Darlene Hall, Dawn Hitchens and Sahiara Houchens.
The Seelys have worked in the home sales and construction industry for nearly 20 years, developing strong relationships with their clients even before starting their own business.
Recently, a couple who had bought their first home from Seely five years ago came back for help to move their growing family into a forever home. They wanted help selling their home, buying land and building that forever home.
“We welcome people with just an idea, even if they don’t know where to start,” Julleanna said. “We can have a conversation and guide them in the right next direction.”
As an example, Julleanna cited a young lady not yet 20 who wanted a home for herself and her grandmother. They determined a three-bedroom, two-bath rancher with a one-bedroom suite complete with kitchen and living area, and a two-car garage would be ideal.
“The two would invest together in the property,” Julleanna said, “but they needed land.” Seely & Associates found them land in Greenwood, where they wanted to live, then designed a home and connected them with a lender. Construction will start this spring.
“We are really excited,” Julleanna said. “These are examples of how construction and real estate combine to provide a seamless experience.”
Seely Homes has won a number of awards. The latest was the Better Business Bureau Serving Delaware, “Torch Award for Ethics,” presented in May 2025. The award, the highest honor bestowed by the BBB, recognizes local businesses demonstrating exceptional integrity, character and community commitment. Only three such awards are given to all businesses in Delaware — small, medium and large. Seely was the only Sussex County business to be honored in 2025.
At the awards ceremony, Julleanna recalled how they had opened their business and started their first spec home just before COVID hit. “We were worried we’d gotten into something that wouldn’t work out, but the home sold quickly. We finished and closed on it in May 2020, then we sold the second home before we even broke ground on it.”
The business grew quickly with the increased demand for housing, and the Seelys started building custom homes designed for clients. Over the past five years, they have built more than 65 homes and additions in Kent and Sussex counties. With a Maryland license, they will expand to offering custom new homes into Caroline, Dorchester and Wicomico counties on the Eastern Shore.
The company quickly developed a reputation for being high quality, reliable and affordable home builders. Their motto is “Better Living Made Simple.”
Seely Homes joined the Home Builders Association a couple years ago and for the past three years has earned numerous awards recognizing top performance in home design, marketing, sales and production. The business was featured in a national publication – Modern Home Builders magazine.
Seely Homes contributes to the community, including a scholarship given in memory of Byron Outten, Julleanna’s late father, to Woodbridge High School graduates pursuing a construction or business-related career. The company also is a corporate sponsor of Love INC of Mid-Delmarva and their staff often assists at the Seaford location with providing meals and clothing for the less fortunate in the community.
The couple has three active children, the oldest in high school. “We love to travel and for Spring Break took the kids on a big adventure to Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon National Parks,” Julleanna said.
