New Zion UMC is hosting its Annual Balling for God Basketball Tournament and Wear Orange Against Gun Violence Event on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Paul Laurence Dunbar Basketball Courts on Webb Avenue.
Everyone is encouraged to wear orange as a symbol of hope, awareness, and solidarity. There will be both boys’ and girls’ basketball teams in the following age divisions: Ages 6–7, 8–9, 10–11, and 12–13. Teams should consist of four players per team. You must register in advance and fill out permission slips. Families will also enjoy: children’s games, face painting, a petting zoo, music, food, vendors, and fun activities for all ages.
