William W. Messenger of Seaford passed away on April 26, 2024, at the Manor House. He married Gwendolyn Marshall in 1959. The couple moved to Seaford in 1964 when Bill became an engineer at the DuPont plant.
He was an active member of local organizations including Boy Scout Troop 249, the Seaford Historical Society, the Nanticoke River Yacht Club, Community Concerts, St. John’s Church, Seaford Presbyterian Church, and many others.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn of Seaford, son William G. of Boston, four grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, and eight nieces and nephews. His son Thomas died in 2015.
A funeral will be held in the chapel of the Manor House in Seaford on Sunday, June 30 at 2 p.m. Correspondence may be sent to rememberingbill@messengerfamily.net.
