William (Bill)Vernon Hostelley, Jr., a resident of Manor House Retirement Community in Seaford, passed away on June 23, 2021.

 Bill was born in the Frankford section of Philadelphia to Dr. William Vernon and Christine (Putney) Hostelley on June 8, 1941. He graduated from Frankford High School in 1959 and then went to Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science (now Thomas Jefferson University) where he graduated in 1964.  

Following service in the Army Reserves, Bill went on to become President of Quaker Felt and Gasket Company in Philadelphia. He later moved to Centreville, Md. where he served as a maritime Captain on the Chesapeake Bay. Bill was a member of the Friendship Masonic Lodge in Jenkintown, Pa. Bill was an avid waterman and had a love of hot rod cars.  

Bill is survived by two loving children, William Vernon Hostelley, III and wife Heide C. Hostelley, Christine Putney Capozzi and husband Edmund F. Capozzi, Jr.; four cherished grandchildren, Caroline Putney Capozzi, Edmund (Teddy) F. Capozzi, III, Brock W. Hostelley and Brent C. Hostelley; dear brother Dr. Richard (Dick) Hostelley and wife Linda S. Hostelley; and loved sister Barbara (Bissie) Hostelley Miller and husband J. Wallis Miller and adored nieces Amanda M. Schriver and Lindsay E. Walton.
