Virginia Dodson of Laurel passed away on Dec. 17, 2020 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Thomas Foskey, Sr. and Dorothy Rae Colflesh Foskey.
Virginia was a retired Registered Nurse for Lifecare at Lofland Park. She absolutely loved visiting Disney World and her favorite character was Mickey Mouse. She also enjoyed quilting, reading, sewing, playing Candy Crush, and shopping on QVC.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Michelle Downes and her husband Eddie, Debbie Elliott and her husband Skeeter; sister, Judy Adkins and her husband Oran; special cousin, but like a sister, Anna Marlette; special niece, Dawn Brittingham and her husband Rob; grandchildren, Trey Downes and his wife Marisa, Tyler Downes, Michael Dodson, Bethany Laird and her husband Billy, Matthew Dodson and Sydney Elliott; nine great-grandchildren and special great nephew Dylan Brittingham and special great niece Lizzie Brittingham also survive her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edgar T. Foskey, Jr. and her nephew Steven Thomas Adkins.
All services will be held privately. Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel.
