Tristin Dale Townsend was born on Oct. 21, 1997 in Lebanon, Pa. to Amy Rymoff Townsend and the late Charlie Townsend. Tristin passed away sadly, on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in Laurel. He was educated through Sussex Technical School. Tristin most recently was employed by West Side Auto, Vincent Family Farm and Sussex Irrigation.

Tristin was a big-hearted person who was quickly-liked wherever he went. It did not matter if it was at work or at his hobbies or if he saw you yesterday, or years ago. He always loved anything outdoors – lots of fishing along the Nanticoke, dirt track racing, four wheelers – especially the time spent in Busco Beach, North Carolina. He spent a lot of time working to make his truck everything that he dreamed it to be. Tristin also loved taking care of the animals while staying with the Jacksons. He possessed an uncanny ability to jump in to help anyone; to see the good in people, and to think of others first.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Townsend and maternal grandmother, Donna Rymoff.

Tristin leaves to mourn his loss, his mother, Amy Rymoff Townsend of Lebanon, Pa.; grandparents, Collien and Dennis O’Donnell of Laurel; Steve Townsend of Laurel and Jeffery Rymoff of Jonestown, Pa.; siblings: Nathaniel Serrano, Hailey Serrano, Onyx Serrano, and Emily Serrano; aunts and uncles; Brian and Stephanie Hearn of Laurel; Ted and Ellise Kirkwood of Lebanon, Pa. and JD and Ariel Rymoff of Whispering Pines, North Carolina. Tristin also leaves behind his cousins: Brayden and Kassidy Hearn of Laurel; Morgan and Valerie Rymoff of Lebanon, Pa. and Phoebe Leonburger of New Jersey.

There was a memorial service to celebrate Tristin’s life on Thursday, June 3 at Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Seaford. Burial was private. To offer words of comfort or sign the guest book visit www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com. Professional services entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Seaford.
