Trace Scott McClellan of Seaford passed away in Seaford on Oct. 23, 2020, after a valiant battle with illness the past two years.

Trace and his family are blessed that he was loved and cared for by the love of his life, his fiancée Kerri Phillips of Seaford.

Trace grew up in Waterford, Mi, and Placerville, CA, where he spent many hours biking, swimming, and playing sports. Throughout his life, Trace had a strong love for his Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings. He was not shy if their play did not meet his expectations.

After graduating from Eldorado High School, he went on to attend Sacramento State University, where obtained a business degree.

Trace relocated to Delmarva in the ‘90s and began a career in the retail industry with Food Lion, where he rose through the management ranks.

Trace was preceded in death by his sister, Marisa Starnes. He is survived by his mother, Joan Myers (Howard); and his father, James Starnes (Jane). He was the dear brother of Linda McClellan, Lisa Myers, Ann-Marie Wolfenbarger, Kara Starnes, Jordan March, and JR Starnes; and also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and his fur baby, Larry.

Trace you are loved and respected. You may be gone, but you will not be forgotten. You live in our hearts now and forever.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Parsell Family Funeral Home.
