Time to order your “Thanksgiving Goodies” from Wheatley Methodist Church. The church will have the famous Dot Wheatley Henry sweet potato biscuits, homemade fudge, and Joan Wheatley peanut brittle, as well as fruit pies, fish sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs. This will be “pick up” on Nov. 18, so the church requests you pre-order the biscuits, pies, brittle, and/or fudge. Call 302-536-7796 to order. If no answer, leave message and a confirmation call will be returned. Pick up will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
The fish, hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 pm. To assure availability it is highly recommended to pre-order.
Wheatley Church is located near Galestown at 5802 Wheatley Church Road, just off Maryland 313, two miles north of Sharptown and two miles south of Eldorado. Proceeds to benefit Historic Wheatley Methodist Church preservation project.
