Shirley Marine Webb of Laurel passed away on April 30, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born on Oct. 30, 1938 in Salisbury to the late Elmer and Helen Marine. She was raised in Bethel and has been a longtime member of Sailors Bethel Church.

Shirley graduated from Laurel High School in the “class of 1956” and was honored as class Salutatorian. After graduation, she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) T. Webb. They married and began their beautiful love story, raising their children, Jeff and Jan, growing poultry on their farm for over 40 years, working with Mountaire and Townsend, and earning the honor of “Grower of the Year” five times in her career.

Most of all, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and grandmom. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Robert (Bob) T. Webb; children, Jeff Webb and his wife, Janice, and Jan Otwell and her husband, Bill, all of Laurel; grandchildren, Bobby Otwell (Amanda) of Laurel, Dr. Katie Webb of Panama City, Florida, Jaqueline White (Logan) of Dagsboro; great-grandchildren, Claire Otwell and Audra Otwell; step-grandchildren, Chris Otwell, Kelly Otwell and four step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Aloma Dumont, Bruce Marine (Myrna) and Gary Marine (Carole). Several nieces and nephews also survive her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Calvin Marine, Jay Marine, and Brent Marine.

A viewing with casual attire requested was held on Wednesday, May 6, at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel. A graveside service followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery- Laurel. Chaplin Paul Isaacs officiated. Shirley’s family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Accent Hospice, especially Jessica Crowe and Chaplin Paul Isaacs, for their care and compassion; also a very special thanks to her caregivers, Lisa, Patty, Dawn, Angie and Jeanette, for the wonderful care they gave.
