Rose Marie Hoover passed away on Dec. 23, 2020 at her home in Seaford. 

Rose was born on Nov. 25, 1925 to the late Leo G. Williams and Anna (Koreny) Williams in Loyalhanna, PA. She grew up in Latrobe, PA., later relocated to Bridgeton, NJ, where she spent most of her life, and retired from Owens Illinois Glass Co. Rose was a member of Saint Teresa Catholic Church in Bridgeton and believed in “treating everyone right”.

In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her first husband Donald F. Sweeny, her second husband Albert S. Hoover, five brothers, two sisters and a grandson.

Rose is survived by her daughter Donna Jean Vanderslice (Howard) of Bethel, her grandsons Donald Vanderslice of Seaford and Patrick Vanderslice (Susan), and her grandchildren Brendyn and Cade Vanderslice all of Laurel.

Due to COVID-19, the services will be private.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the therapists and nurses from Peninsula Health Care, the therapist from Coastal Care and the caregivers and nurses from Interim Health Care. They are particularly grateful for the excellent care and compassionate support received from VITAS Hospice.
