Rhonda Jane Hastings Brumbley of Laurel has gone to be with the Lord on July 21, 2025. Rhonda was a graduate of Laurel High School, “class of 1971”. She had also graduated with her Associates degree from Delaware Technical & Community College. Rhonda retired from TLC Women’s Health Clinic in Salisbury after 35 years.
She always loved watching her grandchildren, whether it be award ceremonies or their sporting events. In her spare time, she enjoyed working as an EMT for Laurel Fire Department for over 10 years, was a past Auxiliary President at the American Legion Post #19, and most recently, an active member of the Martha Rebekah’s Lodge #21.
Rhonda was the true meaning of a “Matriarch” within the family and was a loving caregiver to Ms. Dolly. She was the leader we all went to for guidance, advice, or just a hug in her loving arms. Rhonda was a “Leader” in all our major meals because of her love of cooking. Very rarely could she say how much of a certain ingredient went into a recipe, but that did not stop her from making those memories in the kitchen with her grandchildren. Another avid hobby was her love of scrapbooking. She enjoyed taking pictures and organizing them on the pages to create and highlight memories for her grandchildren.
Rhonda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ronal Brumbley; her son Kevin Brumbley (Angela); granddaughter Morgan Brumbley (Jake); grandson Bennett Brumbley (Haley); sisters Sandra Perdue and Sharon Hovatter; sister-in-love Connie Brumbley (Ron Hastings); multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive her. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents Seth “Paul” Hastings and Elizabeth “Betty” Graham Hastings; brother Wayne Hastings, and a niece Stacy Taylor.
