Raymond William O’Neal, III of Laurel passed away on March 15, 2021 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford.
Raymond was born in Salisbury, a son of Raymond O’Neal, Jr. and the late Carolyn Wright O’Neal. Ray spent his whole life in the Chipmans Pond area and attended Laurel Schools. He was employed by Colonial Construction Company. Ray was an avid fisherman, and could be found fishing at his favorite place, Chipmans Pond. He was the current treasurer and 25 year member of the Delaware Bass Federation, past VP and treasurer and 25 year member of the Lower Bass Masters and 20 year member of Delaware Bass Nation.
Ray is survived by his father, Raymond O’Neal, Jr. and his wife Connie of Laurel; a daughter, Carolyn O’Neal; his siblings, Julie O’Neal Maisch, Wade O’Neal (Stacy), Brian Allen (Donna) and Jodi Everett (Chad); a granddaughter, Riley Lawton; a grandson Trevor Joseph; several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews; his very close friends, Jamie Givens and his children Matt and Kelsey; and good friends Joe and Amelia Fragomelle.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Marguerite O’Neal and Joseph and Winifred Wright.
All services will be held privately.
