Randall C. Handy, Jr. passed from this life on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at his home in Seaford, Delaware. He was born on Sept. 21, 1943 in Buffalo, New York. He spent most of his life in Seaford devoted to Handy Realty – the real estate company founded by his father.

As a commercial real estate developer, broker, and trusted appraiser “Randy” was also a past president of the Sussex County Delaware Board of Realtors. He graduated from Seaford High School and majored in mechanical engineering at the University of Delaware where he was a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was a member of Wesley Methodist Church in Seaford, Delaware.

Randall is survived by his three sons, Scott Randall Handy of Hagerstown, Md.; Patrick Hill Handy of California, Md.; Michael Jason Handy of San Antonio, Texas; and three grandchildren, Christopher Flugel of N.Y.; Michael J. Handy, Jr. and Katelyn Margaret Handy of Texas.

He is also survived by his wife of 27 years, Melissa and her four children Adam, Michael, Tiffany and Brittany from Tennessee, New Jersey, Wilmington and Philadelphia respectively, and six grandchildren. 

Randall is also survived by siblings Janet Vargas of Bridgeville, Allen T. Handy, Sr. of Seaford and Elizabeth Crossan of Seaford. 

Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Randall C. Handy, Sr. and Pauline Gallagher Handy of Seaford, and his sister Sharyn H. White of Seaford.

Randy loved being outdoors in the Delmarva area hunting, fishing, going to the beach and playing football, especially in his high school years. Later in his life, he enjoyed being with his family, traveling, and tending to his beautiful farm, Briarhook.
