Ralph H. Givens of Seaford passed away on Feb. 8, 2021, at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. Born on Feb. 21, 1930, on the family farm on Sycamore Road in Laurel, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Givens. Ralph was a graduate of Laurel High School class of 1948. He was a lifelong farmer and poultry grower. In his school-age years, Ralph and his brother Richard would deliver milk in the early mornings from Givens’ Dairy. He was a member of the Seaford Ruritan Club, past director of Southern States, and the Laurel Auction Block.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Jane Givens of Seaford; sons, Steven Givens (Shirley) of Seaford, and Ralph Chris Givens of Seaford; daughters, Faith Ann Givens Torbert (Larry) of Seaford, Beth Ellen Givens Larkin (Kenneth) of Delmar, Md.; close family friend, Kevin Powell (Jamie) of Seaford; brothers, Burton Givens, Wayne Givens, both of Laurel, and Minos Givens of Florida; sister, Phyllis West of Laurel; grandchildren, Todd Torbert, Tracy Torbert, April Milligan, Adam Weaver, Amanda Ketterman, Stephanie Walton, Heather Willey, Chase Givens, Colton Givens, and Heather Morley; 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Givens, Donald Givens, and Aline Bell. A walk through visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 15 at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel. A graveside service followed in Laurel Hill Cemetery with Father Howard Backus officiated. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Givens honor to St. Philips Episcopal Church, 600 S.
