Norma Lee Kelley of Seaford passed away on July 7, 2025. Born on Sept. 5, 1939, she was a devoted wife to Gilbert Kelley and a loving mother to Eric Kelley. She was also a devout grandmother to Sage Kelley, Finnegan Kelley and Seth Scott.

Norma was both generous and spirited, working for over 30 years at the city of Seaford where she was known for her compassion and willingness to provide for anyone in need. She was loved throughout the community for her ability to emit empathy and care, finding countless friends in various places.

While Norma is survived by her son and grandchildren, she is also survived by the hundreds of people that, too, called her their mother. Her house was a home to many, giving a comfortable space of support and love. She was a grandmother and mother to all over her 85 years, with many knowing “Lady K” as a truly special human.

Many will remember Norma for being willing to give her shirt off her back, tell it like it is and provide sage advice, especially about the best way to clean a house. She was spicy but gentle, being able to transcend between the life of the party and the soft-spoken caregiver, always available for a hug.

Everyone has a story of Lady K – all are positive. We shall all take Norma’s legacy forward. One enriched in selflessness, confidence and willingness to speak for what is right.

A service will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro on July 18 at 1 p.m. Everyone and anyone are welcome.
