On March 31, 2020, Nita went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was at home with her twin sister Rita by her side. Nita was truly an angel and is singing in the heavenly choir now.

Born to parents Julius and Hilda Hilghman Craft, she was married to the love of her life for 50 plus years, Warren Emerson Conaway, who preceded her in death in July 2012. Also preceding her in death were her daughter Pamela Crick and son Richard (Ricky) Conaway, granddaughter Angela Prince, brother George Craft, and sisters Louise C. Wheeleton and Dorothy Russell.

Nita is survived by her twin sister Rita C. Layton (Paul), brother Donald Craft (Eileen), granddaughter Amanda Lemon, and Kim Conaway, along with five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Nita retired after several years’ service to the Bridgeville School District. She enjoyed her faith, church choir, and her church family at Bethel Methodist Church, where she was a lifelong member. She was a joy to her neighbors and loved taking care of her yard and beautiful flowers.

Services will be held on Nov. 8 following a church program at Bethel Methodist Church (Oak Grove, Seaford). Come join us for church services from 10-11 a.m. The memorial for Nita will begin at 11:15 a.m. with music and dedications to a wonderful woman.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bethel Community Building Fund, Attn: Gail Nagel, 2381 Neal School Rd., Seaford, DE 19973. Services will be officiated by Pastor Doug Griffith.
