There will be a Memorial Day BBQ on Monday, May 26 at Wheatley Community House in Galestown.
Hometown Heroes Pulled Pork BBQ sandwiches and platters will be served between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. sandwich comes with BBQ on a bun with chips for $9 or, a platter, which is BBQ on a bun with two sides, for $14. Wheatley Community House is located at the intersection of MD Rt. 313 and Wheatley Church Road outside Galestown (two miles north of Sharptown and two miles south of Eldorado). Proceeds to benefit the new roof project in “Saving Historic Wheatley School” – which now serves as the Wheatley Community House.
