Mary L. Novak of Seaford died on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023. Born on Aug. 6, 1941, she grew up in Montague, MA. She put roots down with a wonderful marriage to her “Robert” and they built a loving family in Easthampton, MA until moving to Seaford in 2006. Mary was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband Robert W. Novak, and a devoted mother to her children, who affectionately called her “Ma.”
Mary lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking, canning, crafting, quilting and her stories were always the highlight of family gatherings. She had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden, but her greatest love was serving the Lord in her local church.
Mary was a kind and generous soul, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality.
She is survived by her daughter Kelly Ann Novak, son Daniel Adam Novak, sister (in-law) Bonnie Winchenbach (ME) and brother Ralph Tolan (IL) and four nieces and a nephew who will miss her dearly.
A local memorial service was held at Crossroad Community Church on Thursday, Jan. 4. In April, a memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist followed by interment at Brookside Cemetery in Easthampton, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Rd., Georgetown, DE 19947 or Calvary Baptist Church, 413 Main St., Easthampton, MA 01027 for the spread of the gospel.
Dearest Ma, Walk with Jesus, give Dad a kiss, and know you will forever be in our hearts and memories.
