Marilyn Ann Griffith Vantrease Truitt of Seaford passed away on Sunday, April 18 after a long-fought battle with Parkinson’s and dementia at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation and Health facility in Millsboro.
Born in Seaford on Dec. 2, 1939, Marilyn graduated from Seaford High School, class of 1957, and retired from Dupont, Woolworth and Ames. She was preceded in death by her father Emmett Griffith; mother Mabel Lena Elizabeth Lofland; husband, Isaac Phillip Truitt; daughter Vanessa Vantrease Derrickson and son Timothy Vantrease. Marilyn is survived by her son Bob Vantrease (Gale), daughters Vickie Vantrease Heby (Jacky) and Jennifer Truitt Justice (John) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
