Marie Ethel Wingate of Laurel passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Sept. 30, 1931 in Wilmington, a daughter of the late David and Olivia Wingate.
In her early years, she worked for Budd Company as an accountant and for the Chrysler Corporation, both in Newark. Most importantly, Marie loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her nieces, Shirley Alma McCormick and Michel Lynn Reynolds; a nephew, Shaun Monroe; and many additional nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers including David and Budd Wingate.
Services will be private.
