Margaret “Peggy” Joan Conner of Laurel went to walk with Jesus on Sunday, Aug. 16. Peggy was born in Baltimore on Aug. 9, 1941 to Margaret [Shriver] Coppage of Gettysburg, Pa. and James Coppage of Church Hill, Md. Peggy is survived by a loving family; her husband, Lawrence Raymond Conner and their four children, Linda Stackowitz (John), Carol Murphy (Paul), Michael Conner (Connie) and Suzanne Throckmorton (Brian). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Carrie, Chris, Melissa, Sarah, Jennifer, Candi, Brandi and Luchella.; her brother Donald Coppage; and multiple great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Margaret is preceded in death by her father James Coppage; her mother Margaret Coppage; her sister Louise Harris; and her brother James Ashby Coppage Jr. Her dear friend, Carolyn Gray recently preceded her in death as well.

Friends and family paid their respects on Thursday, Aug. 20 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Pastor Howard Travers presided over the spiritual services. Interment followed at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
