Lois H. Sipple, beloved member of her community, peacefully passed away on April 25, 2024 in Seaford.
Lois was born to George and Blanche Herncane on Nov. 29, 1919 in Huntingdon, PA, where she graduated from Huntingdon High School. Her life was marked by dedication, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to the ones she loved.
Lois fell in love with William L. Sipple, and they married June 10, 1957, and together they raised their daughter Karen L. Hall (Kay).
With Lois’ diligence, work ethic and natural leadership skills, she worked various positions for 36 years before retiring from the U.S. post office. Outside of her professional career, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, crocheting, and painting. She especially loved spending time outdoors in her yard with her animals and in her garden.
Lois was a devout member of the First Methodist Church in Huntingdon, Pa. She sang with the senior choir and worked with the children while exemplifying her commitment to service.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William L. Sipple. She is survived by her loving daughter, Karen (Kay) L. Hall, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois’ warm smile and kind heart will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 1 at the Cranston Funeral Home in Seaford. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington.
The family would like to thank VITAS Hospice and Chaplain Leslie Harvey for the loving care given to Mrs. Sipple and to the Rev. Richard Evans.
