Linda S. Durham of Seaford passed away peacefully with her son by her side on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. She was born on Sept. 29, 1950 in Baltimore, Md., daughter of the late Wilmer and Mary (Johnson) Ennis.

Throughout her life, Linda enjoyed a love of sewing and knitting, creating beautiful pieces that brought joy to all. She was known for singing “Happy Birthday” in her own very special way. Along with her talented birthday voice, Linda was self-proclaimed Elvis’ number one fan and would get weak in the knees when she heard his voice. Linda was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Hazelwood (Ennis). She is survived by her beloved husband, Amiel “Chuckie” L. Durham, Jr. and her dog, Tubby; her son, Danny Plato and his wife Claudia and their two children, Dylan (Courtney) and Clarissa (Tyler); her sisters, Marie Williamson (Ennis) and family, Wilma Heflin (Ennis) and family; her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and very close friends that are considered family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson – Yates Funeral Home and Crematorium, a Parsell Family Funeral Home in Seaford.
