Linda Catherine Orndorff peacefully passed away on Dec. 1, 2020 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Linda was predeceased by her husband, Meredith Russell Orndorff and her father, William David Parsons. Linda is survived by her mother, Carolyn Parsons; her daughter, Hope Orndorff Smullen and granddaughter Caitlin; her son, Scott Orndorff; her sisters Ruth Manno (Ted) and Mary Parsons; her brother, William “Bill” Parsons, Jr.; her aunt Norma Jean Phillips; and her two sisters-in-law, Sandra Bradford and Heidi Bradshaw.

Linda graduated from Delmar High School in 1968 and spent several years as a teacher’s assistant at Beaver Run and Delmar Elementary schools. She was a dedicated member of the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Fruitland Campus. Linda was very involved in church functions and group grief counseling. Linda dedicated her life as a devoted wife, loving mother and friend, caring daughter and sister, and servant to her community and church. Her absence leaves a void in all of us.

Visitation for Linda’s family and friends was held on Tuesday, Dec. 8, followed by the funeral service at Holloway Funeral Home, also on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m., officiated by Pastor Tom Bunting and Pastor Dana Stauffer. Entombment followed at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Fruitland Campus or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
