Kirk E. Hall of Laurel passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020 after a courageous battle with several health issues.

He was born July 19, 1975 in Seaford, a beloved son of Joyce Bromley Hall of Laurel and the late Franklin F. “Punk” Hall.

Kirk graduated from Delmar High School with the class of ’93. His whole life revolved around harness racing horses and he worked as a caretaker, trainer and groomer for several stables. Most recently he worked in Bridgeville for Joshua Parker, who he considered a part of his extended family. Kirk also had a network of friends in the auction scene on Delmarva and enjoyed searching auctions for special deals. He will be remembered as a man who had love for family and his dogs.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by brothers, Brent E. Hall and Chad E. Hall and wife Krista; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful four-legged companion, “Peas.”

A walk-through visitation for family and friends was held on Monday, Dec. 21 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Line Community Cemetery in Delmar.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to a family member to help defray the funeral expenses.
