Kevin Edward Truitt went home to the Lord on Dec. 19, 2025. Kevin was born Oct. 24, 1958, in Seaford, the oldest son of Carl Edward and Barbara Kraft Truitt.
Kevin was raised in Seaford and attended Seaford High School where he was a standout athlete in baseball, football and basketball. He also played in Delaware’s Blue-Gold Football game. After school, Kevin followed in his father’s footsteps and became a union millwright until retiring. He lived on the family farm in the house his grandparents had originally purchased. Kevin took great pride in his garden and spent many hours nurturing his plants and enjoyed seeing how much he could produce each year.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Carl Edward Truitt. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Kraft Truitt and his two brothers: Keith Truitt (Sandy) and Tracy Truitt (Bobbi).
A funeral service will be held at noon on Jan. 3, 2026, at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, 609 E. King St, Seaford, DE 19973, with a visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.
