Kay Francis Eskridge of Bridgeville passed away peacefully on Aug. 11, 2026, surrounded by her family. Kay was born in Salisbury on Dec. 18, 1951, the daughter of the late Joseph and Joann Baker.

Kay loved to go fishing and crabbing, and she had a deep love for music. She had a special way of making people smile and never met a stranger. As long as she was with her Johnny, she was happy. She was proud of all four of her children, all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she loved her Walmart family, and she was proud to be a hillbilly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John “Johnny” Eskridge; her parents, Joseph and Joann Baker; her daughter-in-law, Marianne Webb; and her son-in-law, Christopher Malec.

Kay is survived by her aunt, Mary Price; her son, Brent Webb; three daughters, Michelle Sherman (Roger), Paula Elston (Rodney), and Effie Koc (Muhammed); nine grandchildren, Tina, Amanda, Nicholas, Kayla, Kristen, Jenna, Abbie, Cora, Leena; and many great grandchildren. She also survived by her two sisters, Mary Jo and Shannon; two nephews that were like sons to her, Don Horseman (Joann) and John L Horseman; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
