It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the earthly loss of June E. Laughlin on Aug. 26, 2024. June, also known as “Grammy” was born to the late Anne Catherine Martenas Whitmoyer and Charles Whitmoyer at their home in Pine Township, Columbia County, Pa. on June 8, 1940.
June was a May Queen at Greenwood Elementary and attended Millville High School in Millville, Pa. She was a loyal Christian, with an inspirationally deep faith. God made her a sunshine angel on earth, always holding a smile. June was known for her unbelievable cooking and baking abilities, always ensuring to fill all bellies with love and sweets.
June’s biggest accomplishment was her wonderful family. She was a proud mother to her five children, David Peterman (Gail), Linda Danner (John), Victoria Swank (Tim), Christine Absher (Jeff) and Mike Peterman (Lisa). In addition to her children, June was blessed to unconditionally love 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Anyone who knew June saw she enjoyed puzzles, word finds, sewing, crocheting, baking, gardening, and keeping the love of homesteading alive with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. June was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Bernard “Red”, “Pap” Laughlin, who passed away in 2017.
In lieu of flower or contributions, Grammy would like you to spread the love by spending time with family or giving sunshine smiles to friends.
