John Matthew K. “Big JB” Bibb of Bridgeville passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021. He was the son of Lee M. and Susan M. Bibb.
John graduated from the Laurel Wesleyan Homeschool Co-op in 2013. From there he went to the Reading, PA Job Corp. John worked various jobs in the area, most recently working at Shrimpy’s in Rehoboth Beach. He joined the Bridgeville Fire Department where he served for a short time, and was a member of the Seaford Wesleyan Church, “The Ark”. A huge fan of the New York Yankees, John could tell you lots of team statistics. He also enjoyed Alabama Football, and NASCAR racing, with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver. John loved southern cooking, animals, fishing and hunting. He had an upbeat personality, liked making others laugh, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
John was preceded in death by his grandfather William Keefer, and grandmother Sandra Bibb.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers and sister: Noah, Heaven, David and Seth Bibb; grandparents, Diana Nelson (Dennis) and John Bibb (Ruth); many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved dog, Whiskey.
Funeral services were on Friday, July 30 at Seaford Wesleyan Church, “The Ark”. Interment followed at Union Cemetery in Georgetown.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington to help defray funeral expenses.
