John “Jack” William Cook of Seaford passed away on Feb. 11, 2021 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. Born in Connecticut, he was the son of the late Francis Cook and Ruth Richardson Cook. Jack graduated from WiHi’s class of 1963. He served in the Maryland and Delaware National Guards, and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Odd Fellows Lodge and the NRA. He enjoyed deer hunting and his 1953 Chevy. Jack worked at the E.I. DuPont Company for 37 years.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Libby” Cook; sons, Bill Cook of Falls Church, Virginia and Rick Cook and his wife Janet of Laurel; granddaughter, Caitlin Hill and her husband Keith; grandson, Cole Cook and Megan Baker; great-grandsons Shepard Hill and Granger Hill; and sister Bettye Barrow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Cook, Don Cook, and Allen Cook.

A walk through visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 33038 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Laurel, DE 19956. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel. Reverend Jay Hurley will officiate. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.
