JoAnn Mariner Lynch of Delmar passed away on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 13, 1943 in Salisbury, the daughter of the late Randolph and Viola Ann (Jones) Mariner.

JoAnn graduated from Delmar High School with the class of 1961 and was a member of the Delmar Alumni Association. JoAnn loved Christmas time, as it was her favorite time of the year. She had a knack for making the holidays feel special.

She was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Delmar, where she taught Sunday school, helped with church functions, and assisted with vacation bible school for many years. Her memberships included the Delmar Kiwanis Club and the Salisbury Mall Walkers. Later in life, JoAnn loved to travel with Jack and their many friends and enjoyed taking bus trips. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her devotion to her church, her family, and her many friends.

Her family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the compassionate nurses and staff at Coastal Hospice for the kind and loving care given to JoAnn in her final days.
