It is with great sadness to announce that Jennifer “Jenny” Sara Davis died on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021. Jenny was a young, lifelong Bridgeville resident, leaving behind both parents, two siblings, one niece, and two nephews, along with an entire host of extended family and friends.

Jenny was born on Sept. 13, 1961 in Milford to Wanda and Brud Davis. She graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1980, and Plymouth State University in 1984, where she became an All-American in both field hockey and lacrosse. Her athletic accomplishments also include PA state ski champion, Seaford golf champion, and Seaford tennis champion.

After graduation, she began working with the family business, H.C. Davis Co. in Bridgeville. She enjoyed her work and helping the local community. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company and volunteered for numerous other local organizations.  She also coached the Woodbridge field hockey team for several years.

On a personal level, she enjoyed helping friends and neighbors with their many projects, however big or small. Jenny, Jenny Wren, Pip, enjoyed life, laughing, and joking around with her witty style. Her laugh was contagious, and she lit up the room with her humor. As a family tradition, the Davis’ made homemade gifts for each other, a tradition that remained close to her heart. She loved animals and was passionate about helping cats, including feral cats.

Jenny was preceded in death by her brother Hank Davis, Aunt Nance Betze, Aunt Joan Huxford, and Aunt Dottie Lewis. She is survived by her parents Wanda and Brud Davis, her sister Kelly Davis, her brother Matt Davis, her nephews Patrick and William Davis, and a niece Sara Davis, along with her beloved cats.
