Inez English Cordrey of Laurel passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021. Born March 29, 1928 in Blades, she was the daughter of George and Cora Knowles English.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Cherrix (Don); three granddaughters, Christel Hixson (Wayne), Rachel Cherrix (Enos), Natalie Cherrix (Doug); two great-grandchildren, Vivienne and Maxton; her son-in-law Frank Littleton (Janet); a sister-in-law, Joyce Kershaw (Bill) and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Cordrey and her daughter, Teresa Littleton. She was also preceded in death by her siblings.
Inez was a homemaker and enjoyed working many years at Dorzbacks Department Store in Seaford, where she made many life-long friends. Upon retiring she volunteered at the Methodist Manor House and the Good Samaritan Shop. She was a member of Centenary U.M. Church and also attended Mt. Zion Church in Laurel.
She will be missed by many, but always remembered for her loving and generous ways.
Due to the current pandemic a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, Laurel.
