Hollis “Hobby” Hearn of Selbyville passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Brandywine Assisted Living at Fenwick Island, in Selbyville. He was born on March 6, 1930 in Seaford, son of the late Walter and Iva M. (Boyce) Hearn.

Mr. Hearn was a devoted Christian and attended Cannon United Methodist Church. He was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Air Force.Mr. Hearn was also a lifetime member of VFW Virgil Wilson Post 4961 and American Legion Nanticoke Post 6. He also worked for many years as a power service operator with DuPont in Seaford.

Above all, Mr. Hearn enjoyed time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted husband, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hearn was predeceased by his wife, Sandra (Wooters) Hearn; his brothers: Chester Hearn, Manny Hearn, Boyce Hearn, Francis Hearn, and Lee Hearn; his sisters: Mildred Morgan, Evelyn Marvel, Isabelle Chandler, Kathleen Hastings, Doris Wilson. He is survived by his brother, Warren Hearn (Annette) of Concord and many nieces and nephews.

Committal services with military honors were held on Wednesday, June 9 at Blades Cemetery in Blades.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Yates Funeral Home and Crematorium, a Parsell Family Funeral Home in Seaford.
