Members of the Spade and Trowel Garden Club are taking orders for their annual “Greens Sale” on Dec. 2 and 3. They will be harvesting evergreen boughs, holly, magnolia, boxwood and pine cones in preparation for two days of fashioning holiday decorations to sell in their biggest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds are used for scholarships, downtown beautification and other community projects.
Wreaths will be made from mixed greens ($35), boxwood ($40) or magnolia ($50). Swags ($25) feature evergreens fastened to a board that can be hung on a door, wall or mailbox. Cemetery mounds measuring up to four feet long are $40.
Centerpieces come in single ($15) or double ($25) sizes, depending on the number of candles. They make great gifts in addition to beautiful decorations!
Pick up will be Dec. 2, from 3 to 6 p.m. and Dec. 3 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Ross Station, 585 N. Market Street, Ext., in Seaford (across from the library). You will be called when your order is ready. Prompt pickup is appreciated.
