Geraldine Jefferson of Laurel passed away on Jan. 24, 2022 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Pearl Short. Geraldine was a homemaker and an incredible cook. You could always count on her for good conversation and coffee.
Geraldine is survived by her sons, Albert Wayne Jefferson (Dora), Alan Jefferson (Judy); step daughters, Susan Jefferson, Terry Collins, Janie Baldwin; granddaughters Erin Hastings Gabbert (Kyle Gabbert) and daughter Brianna, Alexis Hall; grandsons Bobby Brown, David Spence, AJ Jefferson, Kyle Jefferson, Jared Collins, Justin Collins, Michael Wilkin, Keith Wilkins; along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jefferson; daughter Joy Jefferson; son Albert L Jefferson and her siblings Alice Foskey, Anna Mae Wright, Vickie Short and Rueben Short. Services will be private. The Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral in Laurel is serving the Jefferson family.
