Henderson on Feb. 10, 1962, at St. John’s UMC in Seaford and the two spent the next 62 years together creating countless memories and raising their family.

After an accomplished career in nursing and anesthesia, she pursued her passion of caring for those with substance abuse issues and she gave her time often to those in need and people of all stripes. Her passions were varied as they were deep. Mrs. Henderson was an avid reader and could often be found curled up with a good book. Her green thumb was evidenced by her eclectic gardening technique with a predilection for flower gardening. Mrs. Henderson loved traveling and loved to connect with the world beyond her doorstep. These journeys were not only adventures but also educational experiences that she cherished deeply. While indoors, Mrs. Henderson could often be found cheering on the Baltimore Orioles or the Baltimore Ravens.

A nurturer at heart, she was a devoted animal lover and loved caring for injured animals. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends. Mrs. Henderson was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was eagerly anticipating the arrival of two great-grandchildren this spring. Mrs. Henderson will be dearly missed and forever loved by all the lives she touched.
