Ernest Henry Bossard of Seaford went home to be with his Lord on Jan. 4, 2025, at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood. He was born on Oct. 31, 1934, the son of Ernest T. and Emma Helfer Bossard.

After serving in the Air Force and graduating from college, Ernie worked for the University of Maryland Extension Service as a specialist in poultry nutrition. He retired to Seaford, where he had been born, to care for his parents and his sister, Grace Bossard. He was an active member of the Nanticoke Senior Center and faithfully attended Atlanta Road Alliance Church. Through the years, he sang in the choir, regularly attended Seniors’ Luncheons, and was an active part of a Life Group.

Ernie was a quiet, thoughtful gentleman who could be counted on to lend a helping hand whenever help was needed. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at Atlanta Road Alliance Church, 22625 Atlanta Road in Seaford.
