Emily Jane (Slacum) Johnson passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020 at her home in Bridgeville.
She was born on June 19, 1925, the daughter of the late Gorman G. Slacum and Grace H. (Moore) Slacum.
She attended Federalsburg High School and graduated with the class of 1942. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being outside and loved to garden her flowers.
She is survived by her children, Barry Johnson (Linda), Mark Johnson, and Leah Passwaters; grandchildren, Timothy Johnson (Casey), Emily Rider (Justin), Kelsey Johnson (Hunter Walls), and Amber Schneider (Cody); and great-granddaughter Adelyn Ann Rider.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Cecil Albert Johnson.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery, adjacent to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2381 Neals School Road, Seaford. Face masks required.
